How We Partner

PSRI partners with universities, research centers, and public service institutions whose work intersects with ours. We approach partnership the way we approach research: deliberately, and in stages that build trust before they build obligation.

  1. Get Acquainted

Partnerships begin with conversation — understanding each institution's work, standards, and priorities before proposing anything.

2. Cite and Credit

Early collaboration takes the simplest form: engaging with a partner's published work, citing it where it strengthens ours, and crediting it fully.

3. Student Pathways

As the relationship develops, we create structured opportunities for a partner's students to contribute to applied research — internships, research assistantships, and supervised project work.

4. Build Together

Mature partnerships produce joint work: co-developed research, shared convenings, and programs neither institution could build alone.

For Universities

PSRI offers academic partners a bridge between scholarship and practice: applied research questions grounded in the public record, structured roles for graduate students in policy research, and a publication pipeline committed to evidentiary standards that academic partners can stand behind. We are particularly interested in partnerships with schools of public affairs, public policy, and government.
